Meditation is a practice that comes and goes in my life. I have had the great fortune of experiencing long periods (for me, at least) of 3 or 4 months of daily meditating for about 20 minutes or so. And those times were wonderful I was clear, content, responsible, and peaceful.
This current week is not one of those times. Actually for several months I have felt like I was in a bit of a hole, unmotivated, undisciplined, lethargic, perhaps even borderline depressed. It’s clear that meditation really works for me and will help me to pick myself up and get on with it. Thus begins the “meditation on arrival” project. A commitment to sit down and meditate immediately after following a period of car travel and arriving somewhere. The goal is 1 to 5 minutes after each car journey.
Why after travel? I will expand next week after I have a few days under my belt.
